Uttlesford,
Essex
Design and construction management of a new adoptable sewage treatment works, effluent pumping station and associated infrastructure.
The existing foul network was previously served by private infrastructure. NIC Ltd finalised the S104 application for Anglian Water to adopt a new package sewage treatment works and pumping station.
NIC Ltd oversaw the construction and commissioning of the new foul sewerage infrastructure and will continue to manage the site until adoption, following a standard maintenance period.
Bexhill,
Sussex
NIC Ltd has been engaged to provide utility design, procurement and coordination services for a strategic development of 801 residential units in Bexhill, East Sussex.
NIC Ltd was instrumental in providing pre-parcel-design utility planning and assistance in working with the Developer, the design team and the appointed IDNO/NAV to devise a workable utilities strategy.
NIC Ltd is currently designing the utilities networks for the individual phases of the development, which will have a construction programme of five to ten years.

Thirsk,
Yorkshire
Design and project/construction management of a private water mains separation scheme on an occupied estate of 79 residential units.
The private water mains network was previously supplied from a private borehole network. NIC Ltd procured a S41 WIA 1991 requisitioned water main from Yorkshire Water and designed the separation and new connection arrangements.
NIC Ltd oversaw the construction and commissioning of the new network and facilitated new billing accounts on behalf of the residents. NIC Ltd successfully negotiated with Yorkshire Water to adopt the existing private network as a public mains network and managed all customer contact and expectations.

Hamstreet, Ashford, Kent
NIC Ltd was appointed to assist with procuring formal quotations for water, electric and telecoms for a development of 80 air source pump heated houses and 2 commercial properties.
By working with the Architect, Civil Engineer, Landscaper and Streetlight Consultants, NIC produced a Coordinated Utilities Plan for the site team to work to, and give surety for a workable installation.
Our experience with diverting overhead HV cables through the site was key, along with providing H&S advice (GS6) for working near the overhead cables, until such time as the diversion took place.

We are to continue management of the site until Anglian Water vest the new adoptable assets following the completion of the standard maintenance period.

Little Dunmow, Essex
A private development consisting of 14 new residential houses. NIC Ltd was commissioned to provide PAS128 utility searches and an assessment report, ahead of the developer purchasing the site and making a planning application.
The utility searches allowed NIC Ltd to identify any existing utilities within or around the site, which would have an adverse impact on the development and proposed layout.
Capacity information and budget costings were obtained from the incumbent utility companies and a number of multi-utility companies, to provide a detailed assessment on how the development would be supplied to allow the developer to set their budgets and programmes should the development progress.

NIC Ltd worked with the client's Building Services Consultant and devised a strategy for rising new water, telecom and electrical services from the ground floor core and procured all new mains and services for both the residential and retail parts of the split premises.
